about foden grealy

Foden Grealy is a management consultancy firm. We work on large, usually IT-related, UK Government programmes helping senior programme managers to manage change and achieve the benefits they seek.

We work closely with our clients (sleeves rolled up) to help them plan and deliver change. We also seek to affect the way their organisations handle change such that it is easier in the future. To avoid doubt, we don't advise on programme and project management or on technology delivery; we do understand and love these things but they are not our knitting. We believe that genuine change springs from organisational learning and that this learning only really happens when people who are part of the change, come together, work together and take responsibility for making it happen. So, our work is focused on growing, supporting and guiding such groups of people.

Like most consultants, we help people plan and communicate; we run workshops; we help grow communities; we model business processes; we support learning; we help measure progress; we mentor; we coach. But, we seek to do all of these things with humanity, with passion and with a sense of fun such that those we work with feel genuinely valued, energised and confident to do what they need to do.

We are a little bit unconventional (ask our clients whom we once persuaded to dress up as a pantomime horse), but it is that which has helped us to make a serious difference in some large organisations with very serious jobs to do. Take a look at - Two things we have done lately.

The firm has two principals - Mark Foden and Vince Grealy - and a strong network of independent associates and (SME) technology partners.

And... if you want our view on the future of change in government and the sort of help that we believe will be needed, take look at "Noses for hire: a new kind of help?".
